Praxis means Practice
Date and Time
It’s a Friday. Summer. I’m Holli. I haven’t figured out what I want to do for the date and time bit.
Ship’s Position (Lat/Long)
This bit will be whatever project I’ll be speaking about mostly that day.
Course and Speed
I won’t spend a lot of time contextualizing information on here, but it should be legible even if you aren’t following along with other thoughts. I will probably do a last-on type lead-in.
Weather Conditions
As you can probably already tell, this isn’t a place where you’re NOT only getting the information you want. I don’t necessarily believe that anyone will read this; in some ways, I’m counting on it. But should I or someone wonder what a construct looked like when it was just a regular intrusive or inspirational thought, this section will talk about the context of what I did that day to build out the platform.
Ship’s Activities
Tasks completed, meetings held, decisions made. This is the part where I get to turn in all my progress like a good lil try-hard. It’s fine. It’s important to know yourself to be good at building things with others.
Crew Status
Speaking of others, this will be the section where I will tell you about anyone that I collaborated with that day.
Mechanical Notes
The metaphor is drifting pretty catastrophically right now with the subheadings. But let’s say this will be about logistics; I do this lift mostly with my own cross-functional shenanigans, so certainly something in the workflow is going to break. Good. Wouldn’t want the day to be too forgettable.
Encounters (Ports, Ships, etc.)
This is people we talked to but didn’t collaborate with.
Significant Events
Today, for example, would be significant because we’ve started the log.
Captain’s Reflections
Which is really exciting for me, of course. Look at how weird it is. I am very uncomfortable. It’s a good thing, that’s how you grow. I do apologize for the sincerity. I think this is fun.
